Xmas

Time has not been on our side this winter. We have been working all out to get ready for spring when the bees will go into overdrive and the nectar comes in.

For the first time weve had some woodpecker damage.

Thankfully the bees were ok, we did temporary repairs but will need to replace the hives when weather permits.

Weve launched a new range of products....

Our Fusions range are combinations of honey and nuts these are fantastic for adding to natural yogurts or just adding to a roast. We have these with, hazelnuts, almonds, Brazil's and soon to come are walnuts and apricots.

All this activity has meant weve had little time to make candles but we did manage to make a few after xmas but it was too late for our santa candles.

My daughter Megan pointed out that they would look better if they had white bits. So I invested in some wax candle pens and gave her them. The result is fantastic. I just need to talk her into doing more for next xmas.

Now the clock is counting down to the beginning of spring and we are rushing to finish our preparations. We hope to find more time this year to write more blogs about what we are doing throughout the whole year, so keep your eye out for an insight into a year in the life of a small scale bee farmer.
